We’re Back!

After two successful Guns 2 Gardens Safe Firearm Repurposing events for unwanted firearms, we took some time to refresh, retool, and reenergize.

And now we are back! Our next Safe Firearm Repurpose event will take place on April 24th, 2027! And once again, we’re pleased that St. Mark’s UMC, 900 Washington St., E., in Charleston will serve as our host facility.

We successfully conducted our SECOND Safe Firearm Repurposing event on May 3rd, 2025. And what a success it was!

At that event, we received 19 guns, including 3 semi-automatic weapons. We also received 2 BB guns. We disbursed $1,450 in gift cards from Kroger and Walmart. Several donors declined gift cards.

Many thanks to all our volunteers for your hard work. And a huge thanks to Scotty Utz and Stan Wilson from RAWtools-South who provided their knowledge, skills, and abilities along with all of the equipment necessary to conduct a safe, effective, and efficient (SEE) event. And we’re delighted that Scotty and Stan will once again be lending us their equipment and expertise to have another SEE event!
